Configure Image Layout Settings and Series Types

The Imaging module enables users to upload, organize, compare, and edit clinical images to efficiently track treatment progress. Users can select predefined layouts, manage image series, perform image adjustments, and share images externally.

a. Configure Image Layout Settings

Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Ortho > Imaging Settings.

In the Image Layout Settings section, click Edit.

Set Show Practice Logo in Image Layout:
- Select Yes to display the practice logo on image layouts.
- Select No to hide the practice logo on image layouts.
If Yes is selected, choose Logo source: Account or Location.
Click Save.

Note:

Account Logo is configured under System Menu > Practice Settings > Basic Information.
Location Logo is configured under System Menu > Practice Settings > Locations > All Locations > select the intended location > select Logo & Social Links.

b. Configure Series Types

Users can define reusable image series templates for different treatment stages.

Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Ortho > Imaging Settings.

Click +Add New.

Enter the Series Type Name.
Click Save.

The configured series types will be available during patient image uploads.

Upload Images of a Patient

Select the patient using the Global Search Bar.
Hover over Ortho > select Ortho Imaging.

Click New Image Series.

Select the Date, Series Type, and choose Standard 8 or Standard 10 for the Layout Type.

Users can upload images using one of the following methods:

a) Drag and Drop

Drag images directly into the layout grid.
Drop them in the desired slots.

b) Browse

Click Browse and select the desired images.

Drag images to the desired slots.

After uploading the image, users can modify it before saving. To do so;

Click the Pencil icon.

Use the available editing options as needed:
- Rotate the image
- Flip (Horizontal or Vertical)
- Crop
- Adjust Brightness
Once edits are complete, review the changes and click Save to proceed .

Actions Available on Image Layout

The Image Series view provides several actions to help you manage, share, and review images efficiently.

Download: Click the Download arrow to export the image to your device.
Print: Click the Print icon to print the selected image.
Send to Portal: Share the image directly with the patient through the Patient Portal.
Refer Out: Open the Refer Out workflow to forward the image for external review or consultation.
Full Screen: Expand the Image Series view to full-screen mode for better visibility.
Compare: Click Compare to review and compare different exams or images.
