5.9 Release Features
The 5.9 release offers several improvements for your front desk team so the information they need is available how and when they need it.
Key Features
A View from Above
- Your View, Your Blocks. Customize the details visible in your appointment blocks in four different Scheduler Views, so the scheduler works for your team and your workflow.
Everything You Wanted to Know
- But Didn’t Want to Click. The appointment hover tells you everything you need to know about the appointment, the patient, the insurance plan, and the cost. No clicks, just point.
Create a Balance Out of Nothing at All
- Create a Migrated Balance. Instead of running back and forth between your old system and CareStack, add a balance line item to reflect the old system when you need it, allowing you to easily manage those transactions in transition.
More Improvements
Front Office:
- Identify patients with discount plans with a new DSP insurance flag in the appointment block.
- Quickly recognizes appointments as past or future in the newly color-coded patient appointment grid; or focus on a single patient within the family.
- Offer more details in your printed version of the schedule which now contains all the details from the appointment blocks you customize from the Patient View.
- Fill your appointment slots with a printed copy of the Reschedule Queue.
- Schedule phased treatment for the precise time allotted by the provider with expanded options for timing and adding treatments.
Setup and Administration

History tab for both patient and insurance receipts.
- Get more detailed information about the age of your balances and credits with a new 120 to 180 day bucket option in the Insights Aging report and Credit Balance
- Prepare for your eligibility checks using the Insights Pending Eligibility reports that now include the appointment notes.
