Purpose
The Daily Journal Report is used to review and reconcile daily production and collections. It helps practices identify discrepancies, monitor financial activity, and ensure accurate end-of-day balancing.
Best Practices
The Daily Journal Report is primarily used for production reconciliation and to verify that completed procedures align with recorded financial activity.
When generating the report, it is recommended to use the Location filter to review production and collections for each treatment location separately.
Reviewing the report by location helps ensure accurate reconciliation and makes it easier to identify discrepancies within a specific office.
For multi-location practices, run the report individually for each location to maintain clear and consistent financial oversight.
To ensure codes are completed correctly against each provider, use the provider filter.
