Step-by-Step: How to Generate the Report
Step 1: Navigate to the System Menu > select Operational Reports under Insights
Step 2: Search for Payment log. Click the + Icon on the left or the Generate Report button on the right to access the report filters.
Step 3: Configure Filters
Select the following settings:
Run Summary View
Date Range = Today
Date As = Transaction Date
Receipt Location: Select your location (By default, the user’s default location will be selected.)
Paying Entity: All
Group Collection By: Payment Category (By default, this is preselected)
Select Check box: Exclude Membership Discount Credits
Generate Report

Compare totals to:
Deposit Slip
Cash drawer
Checks received
Credit card machine

Make sure nothing unexpected was deleted or refunded.
Information Provided
Summary View
It shows:
Collected – New payments entered
Updated – Payments changed
Deleted – Payments removed
Trans. Charge- The amount of transaction charge for Third Party Financing payment
Gross Collection – Total money collected
Refunds – Money returned
Collection Adjustment – Total amount adjusted from patient and insurance collections.
Net Collection – The amount of money the office actually retains.
