Overview
AEKA Imaging Templates allow practices to standardize image acquisition by predefining image types and sequences. Proper template setup ensures efficiency, consistency, and accuracy during the imaging workflow. Creating templates tailored to your most common imaging needs will streamline daily operations.
AEKA Template Setup Workflow
Step 1: Access AEKA Imaging Suite
Go to your AEKA web address provided and log in
Click All Layouts in the upper-right corner
Click + Create Layout
OR
Select any patient using Global Search
Navigate to the Dental Chart
Select the AEKA Imaging Tab
Click Acquire New Exam (Save your AEKA web address once the new tab has launched)
Select the Menu Button
Click All Layouts

Step 2: Access AEKA Imaging Suite
Select + Create Layout
Name the Layout
Click the + icon on the left-hand panel
Left-click on the dotted section of the screen where you want a title to appear in the template
Choose the desired image type and add tiles as needed. Tile options are as follows:
X-Ray
Right
Left
Top
Bottom
Camera (Intraoral Camera)
Pan/Ceph
Assign tooth numbers to the tile by clicking the tooth icon at the top of the tile. Set the tooth numbers based on the intended image; update after image capture is possible.
Continue to add these in the desired sequence you wish to capture.

Step 3: Configure Image Sequence
Arrange tiles on the dotted area in the desired order if needed.
Confirm the acquisition sequence. The image acquisition order is shown as the top number on the tile.
To re-order, click the sequence button on the left panel and re-order accordingly. Note: The order will be updated in the order you click the tiles.
Verify tooth numbers match each tile.
To edit, select the tile and click the tooth icon on the left panel.
| TIP: Right-clicking on the tile will also allow you to edit the tile in the template. |

Step 4: Save the Template
- Click Save Layout on the upper right corner
Once saved, the template becomes available for use during image acquisition.

Manage Existing Templates
Within the All Layouts section, users can:
- View templates
- Duplicate templates for modification by right-clicking on the template
- Delete outdated templates by right-clicking on the template
- Open existing templates for editing

Use Templates in Workflow
- Select templates during image acquisition
- Mark frequently used templates as Favorites
- Access templates directly from the AEKA Imaging Suite
