Setup Rectangle Health Gateway at a Practice Level
- Navigate to the System Menu >select Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Services.
- Select the Rectangle tab.
- Click Edit.
- Set Enable Rectangle as Yes.

Enter the following fields to set up the Gateway:
- User Name.
- Secret Keys.
- Merchant Code.
- Merchant Account Code.
- Public Key.
- Enable Card Not Present Transactions: Set as Yes if you wish to use Rectangle for your Card Not Present transactions (manual entry).
- Enable Payment Plan: Set Yes
- Enable Terminal Payments: Set as Yes if you wish to use Rectangle for your Terminal transactions.
- Click Save.
Set up Rectangle Health Gateway at the Location level
To set up Rectangle individually or differently for each location,
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Services.
- Select the Billing Services tab.
- Select the desired Location.
- Under the Payment Gateway drop-down, select Rectangle.
- Click Edit.
- Enter the fields required for setup.
- To Add the Terminal,
- Click +Add Terminal Device.
- Enter the Terminal Device Name.
- Enter the Terminal ID.
- Click Save.

a. Using Rectangle Health for taking payments (Card Not Present)
- Select the Payment Gateway as Rectangle.
- Click Pay with Rectangle > select Enter Card Details.

In the Add Payment pop-up,
- Enter the Credit Card Number.
- Enter the Expiry Date.
- Enter the CVC.
- Click Pay $ [amount] to proceed.
b. Using Rectangle Health for Terminal Payments
- Select the Payment Gateway as Rectangle.
- Click Pay with Rectangle > Select Tap/Swipe on Terminal.
c. Using Rectangle Health on Payment Transaction List
Note: By selecting ‘Void’, the system will initiate a Full Refund of the patient's payment to their card and eliminate the corresponding receipt from the ledger. |
