Delete an Insurance in Draft Status

Let's get started!
- Select the patient using the Global Search Bar.
- Select Insurance.
- Locate the intended insurance that is in Draft status.
- Click Delete.
Click Proceed on the warning modal.
A toast notification will appear stating 'Insurance deleted successfully'.
That is all you have to do to delete an insurance saved as a draft.
Terminate an Insurance

- If the insurance hierarchy is not set.
- Click Delete for the intended plan.
- Click Proceed in the warning modal.
- A toast notification will appear stating, 'Insurance deleted successfully'.
- If the insurance hierarchy is set.
- Click View on the intended insurance plan.
Click Edit Patient Benefits on the very right of the Patient and Subscriber Insurance Details heading.
- Enter the date of the day before as the Termination Date.
- Click Save and Update Eligibility.
A toast notification will appear stating, 'Patient Insurance updated successfully'.
- The insurance plan is now terminated for the selected patient.
- To view any terminated plans, uncheck the Hide Terminated Plans option.
To activate a Terminated Plan,
- Navigate to the desired Terminated Plan.
- Click Update Termination Date.
- Remove the Termination Date.
- Click Update Termination Date.
- A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, ' Termination Date Saved Successfully.'
| Note: If a claim is pulling details from terminated insurance, hover over Billing > select Claims > select the desired claim > choose the desired plan from the drop-down > click Save & Submit. |
Change a Draft Insurance to Active

Let’s explore how to change an insurance plan from Draft to Active status.
- Select the patient using the Global Search Bar.
- Click Insurance.
Click View on the desired insurance plan in Draft status.
In the Add New Insurance slider that opens up,
- Enter the Subscriber ID, Effective Date, Employer, Carrier and Plan details.
- Select the Mark Insurance as Verified checkbox.
- Click Save.
The status of the insurance plan will change to Active.
