CodeStack is a feature within CareStack that offers users comprehensive information about the codes associated with a patient's treatment plan, insurance coverage, and fee details.

Let's learn more about CodeStack in detail.
To access the CodeStack:
- Select the Patient using the Global Patient Search Bar.
- Hover over Clinical > select Treatment Planner.
| Tip: You can also navigate to the Patient's chart or Appointment Slide-out to open CodeStack. |
Click on the intended Code to open CodeStack.
The CodeStack has two tabs: Code Details and Fee Details.
- The Code Details tab displays the Basic Details, Clinical Details, Fee Details, and Billing Details of a code.
- The Fee Details tab covers Basic Details and Current Fee.
- Under Basic Details, you have a few details that can be edited.
- Details such as Status, Treatment Provider, Treating Dentist, Phase, Location, Treatment Plan and Tx not applicable for can be edited.
- You can also include Notes.
In Clinical Details, only ICD Code can be edited while rest is already preset.
To add Fee Details, Click Edit.
- You will be navigated to the Fee Details tab, where you can make the necessary changes.
- Click Save.
- Billing Details will be pre populated in the later stage of the treatment.
- Click Save.
If the code has insurance, a new tab called Plan Details will also be added under CodeStack.
Under Plan Details, you will be able to find information related to Primary and Secondary Dental Insurance along with the Benefits Section.
