Add Attachment Recommendations to General Claims
To add new attachment recommendations to general claims, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Attachment Recommendations.
- Click +Add Attachment Recommendation in the General Claims section.
- Select the Code Description.
- Select the Attachment Type(s) > click Apply.
- Select the Insurance Carrier(s) > click Apply.
- Click Save.
- You will receive a toast notification saying 'Attachment Recommendation added successfully'.
- The new attachment recommendation will be visible on the grid.
- To delete an attachment recommendation, click Delete from the grid.
- To edit any of the parameters of the attachment recommendation, click Edit.
Configure Secondary Claim Attachment Recommendations
The system automatically flags all secondary claims for attachments, specifically primary Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Users can submit the secondary claim with the Primary Claim EOB as an attachment.
To do this, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > Practice Settings > Payments & Billing > Attachment Recommendations.
- By default, Primary Claim EOBs will be recommended as an attachment for All Carriers.
- To exclude specific carriers, click Edit on the Secondary Claims section.
- Select the Carrier(s) to be excluded and click Apply.
- Click Save.
- You will receive a toast notification as 'Attachment Recommendation updated successfully'.
