The CS Scheduler and Appointment Modal provide a centralized way to:
Book and manage patient appointments
Assign providers and operatories
Link recalls and treatment plans
Add notes, codes, and clinical details
Manage reschedules, cancellations, and short-call lists

Step 1: Access the Scheduler and Select Time Slot

Open Scheduler
| Click the Scheduler icon to access the scheduling view. |
Select Appointment Time
Drag and drop across the desired time slot
Define start and end time directly on the scheduler
Note:
Working hours are defined in Practice Settings
Time outside working hours is highlighted to discourage booking

Step 2: Enter Appointment Details
The Appointment Details slide-out will appear with pre-populated operatory and location.
Select or Create Patient
Search for an existing patient
| After searching for the patient, a pop-up may appear indicating pending appointments on the clipboard or appointments currently in the reschedule queue. If one of these pending appointments is the appointment you need to book, do not create a new appointment; instead, proceed with the existing one. |

Review Patient Information
When selecting an existing patient, review:
Patient demographics (Name, DOB, Age)
Alerts and flags
Account members
Pending documents
Medical alerts
Payment summary
You can also:
Collect payment (Pay Now)
Send Text-to-Pay

Step 3: Assign Providers and Time Allocation
Select Provider(s)
Provider may auto-populate based on operatory
Add up to three providers (one primary required)
Specialty appears based on Production Type
Manage Appointment Timing
Click Manage Appt. Timings to:
Allocate time slots to each provider
Assign or remove providers per time segment
Select Production Type and Duration
Auto-populates if configured
Determines appointment duration
Step 4: Configure Appointment Preferences
Select Appointment Mode
In-office
Tele Appointment (video icon displayed)
In-facility
Enable Short Call (Optional)
Allows patients to fill earlier openings
Enter preferred time slots if enabled
Add Appointment Notes
Enter clinical or scheduling notes
Option to copy notes to Patient Memo

Step 5: Link Recalls
Access Link Recall
View available recalls (Unscheduled, Broken, Overdue)
Includes both Procedure Code and Production Type recalls
Link to Appointment
Select recall(s)
Click Link to Appointment
Additional Capabilities:
Link multiple recalls
Auto-link recalls based on matching production type
Add required tooth/area/surface details if prompted

Step 6: Add Treatment and Clinical Details
Add Treatment Code
Click Add Codes
Codes added from scheduler = Recommended status
Add Treatment Plans
Select from existing treatment plans or phases
Add full plans or individual procedures

Step 7: Book the Appointment
Finalize Appointment
Review all details
Click Book Appointment
If provider conflicts exist, a Change Provider modal will appear.
