The Prescriptions section within the Patient Details screen on the CareStack Mobile App helps you create, manage, and track prescriptions easily. Both Paper Prescriptions and E-Prescriptions via DoseSpot are supported. All prescriptions are centrally stored and easily accessible within the patient record in the Prescriptions screen.
To add a new Prescription,
- Select the Search icon on the bottom of the screen
- Search for and select the intended patient using the search bar.
Select Prescriptions from the Patient Details screen.
On the Prescriptions page,
- Click + Create New Prescription.
- Choose whether to add an E-Prescription or a Paper Prescription.
Adding a Paper Prescription
- To add a Paper Prescription, select Paper Prescription.
The New Prescription screen will open. Here, you can add the following details:
- Prescription Title: Enter a suitable name for the prescription.
- Provider*: Select the intended provider.
- Pharmacy: Select the intended pharmacy.
Medications can be added in the Medicines section.
- Tap on an existing medication to make any changes.
- Click + Add to add a new medication.
In the Add a Medication screen,
- Search for and select the intended medication.
On the slide-out that appears,
- To select another medication, click Change.
- Enter the Dosage Form, Quantity*, Number of days, Refills*, Start and End Dates, Sig*, and any Additional Notes.
- Select the Dispense as written option to render the prescription non-replaceable. The prescription cannot be replaced by another prescription and it will be locked.
- Once all required details are added, click Add to Prescription.
- Once the prescription is complete, click Save to confirm.
- A toast notification appears on the bottom of the screen stating, 'Prescription created successfully'.
Use the three-dot menu next to the Paper Prescription to:
- Duplicate the prescription,
- Void the prescription, or
- Download the prescription as a PDF.
- To view voided prescriptions, select the Show void prescriptions option from the three-dot menu on the top-right of the Prescriptions screen.
- You can view and Duplicate the voided prescription.
- The provider who voided it and the date when it was voided will be listed alongside it.
Adding an E-Prescription
- To add an E-Prescription, select E-Prescription.
- You will be led to DoseSpot where you can complete adding the E-Prescription.
