Location Deactivation allows your practice to disable a location in CareStack when it is no longer operational.
When a location is deactivated:
- It cannot be used for new operational activity.
- It is removed from operational workflows and configuration areas.
- It remains available in reporting filters.
- All existing data tagged to the location is retained.
Location deactivation does not delete or modify historical records.

Deactivate a Location
Location deactivation is handled through a Service Request.
To proceed:
- Review the configuration items listed below.
- Submit a Service Request to CareStack.
- The Practice Point of Contact (POC) must provide explicit confirmation before the location is deactivated.
Deactivation will only be processed after authorization is received.
Configurations to be Reviewed Before Deactivation
Before raising the request, please review and update any configurations that reference the location. This ensures the location is fully removed from active use and prevents unintended data creation or configuration inconsistencies after deactivation.
