It serves as a centralized access point to gain important clinical data, enabling comprehensive treatment planning, and improving the quality of patient care.

Manage Clinical Summary
- Navigate to the System Menu > select User Settings > General Settings.
- Within the General Settings, click Edit on the top right.
Under Other Details in General Settings:
- Click Yes to enable the Open Clinical Summary when viewing Chart option.
| Note: The changes made will be visible as the clinical summary will automatically open when you view the clinical chart. |
Preview Clinical Summary
Clinical Summary can be accessed through several touchpoints in the system. The different access points are as explained below.
1. Chart
- Once you enable the Open Clinical Summary when viewing Chart setting, the clinical summary automatically opens up the global slide-out as you click Chart.
2. Global Search Bar
- Search for the patient using the Global Search bar > click Chart.
- Click Clinical Summary on the top right.
3. Scheduler
- Navigate to the Scheduler on the top right.
- Drag and drop the desired time slot on the Scheduler.
- On the Appointment slide-out, select Clinical on the top.
4. Appointment Tile
You can also right-click on the Appointment tile.
- Select View Clinical Summary to navigate to the related slide-out.
5. Clinical Cases
- You can also find Clinical Summary in Clinical Cases.
- Select View Details on the clinical case tile.
- On the top right corner of the Cases page, you can find the Clinical Summary quick link.
- The outcome of all these touchpoints will eventually lead to the Clinical Summary slide-out.
Overview of Clinical Summary
- On the Global slide-out, you can find sections for:
- Last Added Prescription
- Recall
- Clinical Notes
- Lab Case
- Scroll down further to view the Clinical Summary at the bottom.
- Click View Codes to view the related codes.
- You can also view the Medical History of the patient on the right-hand side of the slide-out.
- Clinical Summary on the lower left-hand side will provide access to information like Perio Chart, Completed Tx, Planned Tx, Existing Tx, etc. (Tx represents Treatment).
- Medical History on the right-hand side provides the patient's medical information such as Conditions, Allergies, Medications, and Dental Questionnaire.
