You can track a KPI for a service type using the scorecard functionality in CareStack. To do this, let's first divide the process into three main steps:

Add Service Type
If the intended service type is already present, you can use it on the scorecard. If not, you need to add a new service type from the Practice Settings.
Let's see how.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Clinical > Service Types.
- Click +Add New Service Type.
- Enter the Service Name for the new service type > click Save.
To rename an existing service type:
In the Service Types grid, click Rename for the desired service type, make your changes, then click Save.
To delete an existing service type:
- Select the intended service type(s) > click Delete on the top right.
Set the Service Type for the Dental Procedure Code
To set a service type for the intended procedure code, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Codes > Procedure Codes.
- Filter the Code Type to Dental > click Apply.
- Locate the preferred Dental Procedure Code > click Edit.
- Select the required Service Type from the drop-down menu > click Save.
Generate Scorecard for Service Type
After setting up a service type and configuring a procedure code with the service type, you need to generate a scorecard for service type.
Perform the instructions below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > Scorecards under Insights.
- Click the + icon on Service Type from the left to Create a New Scorecard.
- Enter a relevant Name for the scorecard.
- Enter a Description that explains why the scorecard is being generated.
- Choose the preferred Date Range.
- Select the Report Focus as Service Type.
- Choose All Service Type(s) or a Custom one.
- Select the required Metrics to track > click Save.
- Select the Date Range and Service Type(s).
- Click Generate.
- You can now view the generated scorecard according to the selected date range and service type.
