View Pending Clinical Notes
- Navigate to Lists > Pending Clinical Notes.
- Here you can view all pending clinical notes in the newest to oldest order.
- To view only your pending clinical notes, checkmark the Show My Pending Clinical Notes checkbox. This will show only clinical notes from your provider and location.
Utilize Clinical Note Filters
To narrow down the clinical notes according to your intended criteria, utilize the following filters.
- Date: Search clinical notes by date.
- Provider: Select one or more providers and click Apply to search clinical notes by provider.
- Patient: Search clinical notes by patient's name.
- Location: Select one or more locations and click Apply to search clinical notes by location.
- Assignee: Select clinical notes by an assignee who could either be the hygienist or assistant.
- Linked to Appointment: Choose Yes or No to view clinical notes that are linked to an appointment versus those that are not linked to an appointment.
Sort Clinical Notes According to Completion Level
When you open the pending clinical notes, you will land in the All clinical notes tab. You can choose to view the clinical notes according to the completion level. Click the required tab to open the corresponding list. They are described below.
- Notes to be Started: These are notes to which the user has made no responses at all.
- Notes to Complete: These notes have some responses but require completion.
- Notes to Review: Inputs were added to these notes but their review is pending.
Edit Care Notes
Usually, the notes that require updating will be populated in Notes to Complete. You can also select the note from the All tab.
To edit care notes, perform the steps below.
- Click on the intended care note.
- Add or edit the Responses.
- You can change the settings of the Patient Summary.
- Click Finalize.
- You can click Save as draft if you want to come back later and edit it.
