An unscheduled treatment is a planned or recommended dental treatment for a patient who has not yet been scheduled for an appointment. It is important for dental practices to track these treatments to ensure patients receive the necessary care and to maintain the practice's schedule efficiently.

View Unscheduled Treatments List
- Hover over Lists > click Unscheduled Treatments.
Using the unscheduled treatment list, you can pick and fill the vacant appointment slots for the day with patients who have a planned treatment but have no appointment yet.
Refine the List with Filters
As part of the daily schedule planning of the practice, you can utilize the filters to narrow down your intended patient(s). The filters are explained below.
- Patient: Search a patient by name.
- Proposed Date: Narrow down the search by proposed date where you can select multiple dates within a period.
- Description: In case you are looking for a particular treatment, enter the intended code name to find the corresponding patient(s).
- Fee: Refine the search by finding the amount of production for the specific treatment.
- Tooth/Area: Narrow down the search by specific tooth number which helps to plan the amount of time taken for a treatment as the treatment duration varies for different types of tooth or area.
- Surface: Enter any surface name such as composite to narrow down by surface.
- Provider: Search by provider who offers the treatment.
- Location: Search by practice location.
- Auth. Status: Look for the pre-authorization status of any treatment.
You can print the whole list or print the narrowed-down list if required. To do this, just click the Print button on the bottom right. The printout will be opened in a new tab.
Schedule an Appointment with the Unscheduled Treatment
Once you have found the right patient with the treatment plan, perform the following steps to schedule an appointment.
- Navigate to the Scheduler > click and drag on an Appointment Slot.
- Search for the Patient from the drop-down menu who was picked from the Unscheduled Treatment list earlier.
- Click Treatment Plans.
- Locate and select the unscheduled treatment > click Add to Appointment.
- Click Book Appointment.
- The treatment would be removed from the Unscheduled Treatment List.
